Most articles for WFRP1e are in the .rtf format. Those for WFRP2e -- and the more recent ones for WFRP1e -- have been left in the .doc format since I've grown too lazy to convert.
Obligatory copyright statement. I am posting the following material that I have written for use only in a GM's home campaign. I reserve all rights to the descriptive material, including locations and characters, while system-specific material is copyrighted by GW. Material written with others, which implies a shared copyright, will be duly noted.
Other note. Most of the stuff I wrote for the first edition of WFRP can also be use in the 2nd edition, though some tweaking might be required. GMs are encouraged to make whatever changes they deem necessary or desirable for thier game.
Emperors, list of
I've bumped this list of Emperors compiled by Arne Dam to the WFRP2e portion as he continues to adjust this list using the newer material. Anthony Ragan and I have provided some minimal assistance. Permission to include this on-going project on this site has been granted.
Druids and Old Faith
Written by Anthony Ragan and myself, the goal of this article is to re-introduce the WFRP1e Old Faith into 2e, though with a background more compatible with the Black Industries version. The .pdf version of this article can be found at the Strike to Stun website.
Dwarf Religion
I wrote this article with the goal of re-introducing the Dwarf Religions from my "Dwarfs: Stone and Steel" for WFRP1e. This article has been updated for WFRP 2e, with new clerical spells and re-introduced runes. The .pdf version of this article can be found at the Strike to Stun website.
The Return of Elementalism
This article re-introduces Elementalism into 2e, though the background has been re-worked to be more compatible with the Black Industries version. There are over 70 spells described in this article. A .pdf version of this article can be found at the Strike to Stun website.
Where Has All the Magic Gone?
This article expands Wizardry in 2e to include non-Colour magics inspired by Battle and Illusion Magic of the 1st edition. Moreover, the article also covers 1st edition Alchemy. As with the Elementalism article above, the background has been re-worked to fit with the Black Industries version. The article includes 20 new petty, over 100 wizard/illusionist, and 10 alchemy spells. Many of the petty spells can be use to expand the list in the WFRP2e corebook and there is information to expand the Lesser Magic spells. A .pdf version of this article can be found at the Strike to Stun website.
Pfeildorf sourcebook
This is the first of my sourcebook projects, written in a manner that can be used in both editions of WFRP. This sourcebook continues a lot of background information, maps of the town and its districts, descriptions of selected locations, and a couple of scenario hooks. A .pdf format of this work can be found at the Strike to Stun website.
Key to Aldorf map
This article appeared in Strike to Stun #6 and is the key to the Altdorf map in the Maps site. The article contains some background information and was co-written with Arne Dam and Roderic d'Arcon.
Dawikoni
This article appeared in Warpstone #19 and details the humans who live in the Dwarfen Realms.
Electors and Provincial Rulers
This article appeared in the TimCon 3 booklet and briefly outlines the Electoral changes -- as well as the change in Provincial rulers -- from the original WFRP to the new version. The details underlining most of these changes will be described in the "Empire at War" scenario that I am currently writing as the finale of the Enemy Within campaign.
Engineer Guilds
This article appeared in Warpstone #20. It provides details and background on the (Expatriate) Dwarf amd Imperial Engineers' Guilds.
Laurelorn Elves
This article was to appear at Strike to Stun, but something happened along the way. It is based on some of the work Martin Oliver did for the Elf sourcebook he writing for Hogshead. Unfortunately, the WFRP license was handed back to GW before this reached publication. Tim Eccles and I wrote some additional text to complete this document.
Imperial Nobility
Co-written with Arne Dam this article provides extensive background on Imperial nobility and the von Bildhofen family. It complements the "Nobility and Royalty" chapter in Hogshead's "Apocrypha Now," pages 15-20. It also contains some tips on role-playing a Noble character by Roderic d'Arcon and myself.
Skaven
This article first appeared in Tim Eccles' Origin of Tree Worship #4, which can be order from the by clicking this link to Shadow Warriors and then clicking on Warhammer.
Behind the Scenes
This is the second piece that had published (Warpstone issue 11). The original, shorter article can be found in the WFRP Archives. This version was expanded in response to suggestions from Warpstone and before the deadly red pen of the editor did its dirty work. It includes two new career descriptions.
History of Chaos
This article was co-written with Anthony Ragan and accompanied our proposal to write the WFRP RoC for Hogshead. This article appeared in Tim Eccles' Origin of Tree Worship #5, which can be order from the by clicking this link to Shadow Warriors and then clicking on Warhammer. This article has also been translated, I believe, for Le Grimoire.
Dwarf High Kings, list of
This project was begun by Benoît Dumeaux and Emmanuel Chaineux. I was asked to join the project and helped resolve a few issues as well as come up with a number of names and years of reign.
Altdorf history
This article appeared in Strike to Stun #6 and provides the history of Altdorf, which is intertwined with that of the Empire and Reikland. It was co-written with Arne Dam.
Empire timeline
If the above timeline is too unwieldy given that your PCs don't leave the Empire, then this timeline may be of use to you. It's more detailed than the above, including entries from recent Warpstone articles (with permission from the authors). In few cases, these entries were altered slightly to remove some inconsistency between sources. In addition, some of these entries may be at odds with the timeline for the entire Old World as I haven't taken the time (yet) to bring them in line. Moreover, I have now included entries that have been developed for Tim Eccles' "A Private War." These entries were created in conjunction with Tim and Ryan Wileman. Lastly, entries for Kislev and Marienburg/Wasteland have been included so as to not unduly upset the most rabid of Sigmarites out there.
Sylvania history
This piece appeared in Strike-to-Stun #3. It includes contributions from Arne Dam, Tim Eccles, Anthony Ragan, and Ryan Wileman.
Talabheim, foundation of Duchy
This is the most current version of this historical piece by Arne Dam (with contributions by Anthony Ragan and myself) and replaces the version that appeared in Warpstone #16. The article details the founding of the Duchy of Talabheim. Permission to include this piece has been granted.
The Great War Against Chaos
A slightly different piece that was inspired in part by the piece written by Arne Dam for Strike-to-Stun #5.
Kislev timeline
This was developed for Strike-to-Stun #5, but it didn't appear for some reason.
Southern Old World timeline
This historical summary and timelines have been dramatically revised from that which was created for Le Grimoire's Sartosa project. The background is now more in line with GW's Dogs of War supplement. Arne Dam developed additional material and the members of the Collegium Historica contributed ideas to this article. This piece appeared in Strike-to-Stun #4.
The following four descriptions were originally written as a result of the old White Dwarf articles. They were revised when the new Marienburg book came out and appeared in a single article in Warpstone issue 14. John Foody and Anthony Ragan contributed some material to these.
Knights of Purity
Marienburg Gentlemen's Club
Secretariat of Trade Equity
Suiddock Watch Barracks
The Dwarf with No Name
This was one of the Dwarf NPCs that I submitted for the Dwarf book. It is based on an old Citadel model. For whatever reason, this Bounty Hunter did not make the final cut.
The following descriptions use the rules as detailed in the WFRP tome.
Cult of Khaine
Description of the cult of Khaine, God of Murder and the Undead.
Cult of Morr
Description of the cult of Morr written by Anthony Ragan and I, which also incorporates the material written by Graeme Davis and appearing in the WFRP 1e Aprocypha 2: Charts of Darkness supplement.
Cult of Ormazd
Description of the cult of Ormazd, the sole Arabian god.
Cult of Rhya
Description of the cult of Rhya, Goddess of Family and Fertility.
Cult of Solkan
Description of the cult of Solkan, Law God of Retribution and Vengeance.
Cult of Ulric
Description of the cult of Ulric that Anthony Ragan and I expanded upon when we submitted a proposal to Hogshead to write a Realms of Divine Magic supplement. Unfortunately, Hogshead returned the WFRP license before this project could be undertaken.
The following are the cult descriptions I wrote using the information contained in the RoDM draft that Ken Rolston wrote. I've modified them a few of them ever so slightly. The Ulric cult description was written with some input from Anthony Ragan.
Cult of Esmeralda
Cult of Grungni
Cult of Liadriel
Cult of Manann
Cult of Morr
Cult of Myrmidia
Cult of Ormazd
Cult of Ranald
Cult of Rhya
Cult of Solkan
Cult of Taal
Cult of Ulric
Cult Careers
These are cult-related careers I originally developed for Ken Rolston's version of RoDM. I later compiled them into this summary format for easier use.
Cult Spells
These are cult spells I originally developed for Ken Rolston's version of RoDM. I later altered them into the spell format of the WFRP sourcebook.
In Defence of Divine Magic
This article was intended for Origin of Tree Worship, but circumstances were such that it did not make it into print. This article provides some informaion that tries to set Divine Magic apart from Sorcery.
Old Faith
This article provides some background and additional detail about the Old Faith. This appeared in Origin of Tree Worship #7.
Ulric's Saga
A telling of an ancient Norse myth surrounding Ulric by Anthony Ragan and myself. This appeared in Origin of Tree Worship #7.
New World
In 1995/1996, I began work on this project. I was inspired by the Norsca (Morten Krog, et al) and Miragliano (Oliver Rosenkranz, et al) projects and decided that the New World would be fruitful grounds for this same treatment. My version of the New World greatly differs from the wasteland that GW currently envisions. In writing this project, my intent was to put in all the mundane information first, then add the WFRP elements to it. The New World project is a long way from completion, but there should be enough elements one can use to stage a WFRP adventure in this land. In closing, I should also mention that I have no idea when I'll get back to this project and finish it.
